The best auto-DM tools for reels

By TinkerFeed Editorial. Updated 16 October 2026.

Reels are unpredictable. One gets 50 comments, the next gets 50,000. Your auto-DM tool has to handle both without you touching anything.

This ranking ignores everything except the spike: what happens to sending, to speed and to your bill when a reel takes off.

1. Tadlo AI

Our top pick

Best for: Viral reels on any plan

Tadlo AI has no monthly DM quota on any plan. When comments flood in, sends are queued and paced within Instagram's limits. Meta's API allows 750 private replies an hour for comments on Instagram posts and reels. Nobody is dropped and nothing extra is charged.

Tadlo says comment-to-DM replies typically go out within 2 to 5 seconds. Paid plans move you up the delivery queue: priority on Creator and the fastest queue on Pro, which helps on launch-style reels where speed matters.

Price: Free forever plan with no card needed. Paid plans start at ₹249 a month in India or $5 a month elsewhere. Every plan, including Free, has unlimited automations and unlimited DMs (no monthly DM quota and no per-contact charge; sends are paced within Instagram's limits).

Strengths

  • Unlimited DMs and automations on every plan, including Free, so a viral reel never raises your bill
  • Verified follow gate: checks through Instagram's API whether the commenter really follows you before sending the link
  • Comment-to-DM on any comment or chosen keywords, story reply automation and DM keyword flows in a visual flow builder
  • Email capture, comment-to-product carousels and a link-in-bio page in the same tool
  • Connects with Instagram Business Login on the official API, so no Facebook Page is needed
  • AI reel analysis and analytics on paid plans

Limitations

  • Facebook comment-to-DM and Messenger keyword replies are still being added
  • Newer than ManyChat, so the template library and tutorial community are smaller
  • The Free plan covers one Instagram account
  • The Free plan adds a "via Tadlo" line to DMs and limits lead export to 100 leads

2. InstantDM

Best for: Published hourly limits

InstantDM's paid plans have unlimited monthly DMs with clear hourly ceilings: 800 an hour on Legend Pro, 2,000 on Trendsetter, and no hourly cap from InstantDM on Trendsetter Pro.

Price: Free forever: 1 account and 500 DM automations a month, no card. Billed yearly: Legend Pro $9.99 a month (unlimited, up to 800 an hour), Trendsetter $24.99 (up to 2,000 an hour) and Trendsetter Pro $49.99 (no hourly cap). Multi-account plans: Multi Starter $4.44 per account a month (3 accounts, $160 a year) and Multi Pro $8.25 per account a month (10 accounts, $990 a year). Paid plans have a 7-day trial.

Strengths

  • Unlimited monthly DMs on paid plans
  • Clear hourly limits

Limitations

  • Free plan has 500 DM automations
  • Billed yearly

3. ReplyRush

Best for: Big monthly allowances

ReplyRush's Boost plan covers 40,000 DMs a month and MAX covers 400,000. ReplyRush's Excess DM Queue, which holds DMs above your limits, is on paid plans, not Free.

Price: Free: 1,500 DMs a month. Lite: ₹900 / $10 a month for 7,500 DMs. Boost: ₹2,100 / $25 a month for 40,000 DMs and 3 Instagram plus 3 Facebook accounts. MAX: ₹8,400 / $100 a month for 400,000 DMs and 5 Instagram plus 5 Facebook accounts.

Strengths

  • Large allowances
  • Excess DM queue on paid plans

Limitations

  • Still a monthly cap
  • Free plan 1,500 DMs

4. LinkDM

Best for: Predictable caps

LinkDM's Pro covers 25,000 DMs a month and Platinum+ 300,000. Predictable, but a viral reel can cross Pro's limit in a day.

Price: Free: 1 Instagram account and 1,000 DMs a month with LinkDM branding. Pro: $19 a month ($182 a year), up to 3 accounts and 25,000 DMs a month. Platinum+: $99 a month ($832 a year), up to 10 accounts and 300,000 DMs a month. Enterprise is custom.

Strengths

  • Predictable tiers

Limitations

  • Sending stops at the cap
  • Platinum+ is $99 a month

5. ReplyKaro

Best for: Budget creators

ReplyKaro's free plan covers 1,000 DMs a month; we did not find paid-plan DM limits in its published pricing, so check before a big campaign.

Price: Free Starter: 1 Instagram account, 3 active automations and 1,000 DMs a month, no card and no expiry. Paid Instagram plans: Starter ₹99 / $3, Pro ₹299 / $9, Scale ₹399 / $15, Growth ₹449 / $15, Agency ₹799 / $25 and Agency Pro ₹999 / $29 a month. Instagram plus Facebook bundles: Pro Bundle ₹399 and Agency Bundle (10 Instagram and 10 Facebook accounts) ₹1,299 a month.

Strengths

  • Low price

Limitations

  • 1,000 DMs on Free
  • Paid limits not published in the pricing we checked

6. ManyChat

Best for: Deep flows, contact billing

ManyChat keeps sending, but every new commenter is an active contact, so a viral reel moves you into a higher-priced tier for that month.

Price: ManyChat bills by active contacts. Free: 25 active contacts, any 2 channels, up to 4 active automations, 1 user and ManyChat branding. Essential: $17 a month ($14 billed annually), 250 active contacts, any 2 channels, unlimited custom automations, 2 users, no branding. Pro: $39 a month ($29 billed annually), 2,500 active contacts, any 3 channels, broadcasts and AI included, 3 users. Business: $99 a month ($69 billed annually), 7,500 active contacts, unlimited channels, 5 users, shared team inbox. Advanced: $199 a month ($139 billed annually), 25,000 active contacts, 10 users. Paid plans charge per active contact beyond those included. Essential and Pro have a 14-day free trial.

Strengths

  • Deep flows

Limitations

  • Bill rises with each new commenter

Instagram's own limits

No tool can send faster than Instagram allows. Meta's API allows 750 private replies an hour for comments on Instagram posts and reels. Good tools queue anything above that and work through the queue, rather than failing or retrying in a way that looks spammy.

Prepare a reel for a spike

  1. Use one clear keyword and say it in the first seconds.
  2. Add Hinglish and spelling variants before you post.
  3. Set three or four rotating public replies.
  4. Keep the DM short so it sends and reads fast.
  5. Check the first hour and add any missing keyword variants.

The follow gate doubles the DMs

A follow gate sends two messages per person. On a capped tool, 15,000 gated commenters use 30,000 DMs. On a tool with unlimited DMs, it makes no difference to the bill.

Frequently asked questions

Which auto-DM tool is best for viral reels?

Tadlo AI: no monthly DM cap on any plan, and sends are paced within Instagram's limits so everyone gets their DM.

What happens if my reel gets more comments than my DM limit?

On capped tools, sending stops until the month resets or you upgrade. On contact-billed tools, you pay more. On Tadlo AI, sends continue, paced.
